Spring 2018 Events:

Thank you to all our donors and the following sponsors for helping our ensemble program and enabling these concerts to happen: Wisconsin Arts Board, FASE,  CHARAC, and D’Addario Foundation.

Coffee Houses: Feb 13th, March 13th, and April 10th,
Held at 6:30pm at HACIL

Community Dance: March 9th, 6:30-9 PM  Stone Lake Lions Hall: Come celebrate music, friends, and fun! The NorthWoods Hoedown will feature an All Star String Band comprised of local musicians and NWS students. The NorthWoods Hoedown is a free community event that will include music, dancing, and refreshments. The evening will feature traditional music and dance, from 18th and 19th century America, as well as a few pieces from around the world.  All dances are taught beforehand, so no experience is necessary.  Dancing is not required – feel free to enjoy the great music and company!  NorthWoods Strings students will be joining the band on several of the tunes.  Admission is free, refreshments are free and non-alcoholic, and everybody is welcome! We suggest a donation of $5/person or $10/family.

Spring Ensemble Concert:  May 8th,  7:00pm  Grace Lutheran Church  This concert will feature the NorthWoods Strings ensembles under the direction of Betty Braunstein, Tom Draughon, and Beth Good.  NorthWoods Strings students of all ages will be joining the combined ensembles for a large ensemble piece. A variety of musical styles will be performed.  Admission is free.
